The RM of Piney is a vast and beautiful municipality, home to friendly community festivals, interesting historical sites and hundreds of miles of recreational trails winding through Sandilands Provincial Forest.
Nature
The RM of Piney boasts Sandilands Provincial Forest, excellent summer berry picking, beautiful trails and wildlife viewing far away from the sounds of the highway. It’s the perfect place to get away from it all and experience nature at its finest.
Recreation
The municipality has hundreds of miles of all-season recreational trails for quadding, snowmobiling horseback riding or cross-country skiing. Be sure to check travel restrictions or burn bans before you visit. There are also many geocaches scattered throughout the communities at historical landmarks and rest stops.
History
The Sprague & District Historical Museum displays years of history of the communities within the RM of Piney. Whether you’re interested in the logging industry, churches or the history of your own community or family, be sure to schedule a visit when you’re next in the area.
Events
Here at the RM of Piney, we love to celebrate. Family-friendly events take place year-round, and we welcome you to join us. Whether it’s the Southeast Farmer’s Market, Carrick Days, the award-winning St Labre 200 or one of many community derbies or tournaments, there is something for everyone.
