MAILED IN BALLOTS FOR 2018 ELECTION:
Your mailed in ballot for the 2018 Election must be received by Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 by 4:30pm. If there is a Canada Post Disruption and your ballot is received after the deadline, your vote will not be valid as it did not meet the deadline requirement.
MAILED IN TAX PAYMENTS:
The RM of Piney would like to remind everyone if there is a Canada Post disruption, you are still responsible to get your tax payment in to the office by Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 by 4:30pm. Any payments received after October 31st even if mailed prior to that date, will receive interest charges on their account(s).
Tax payments can also be received by online payments through a Credit Union or Caisse Bank, in person, or by credit card over the phone (will incur a 2% charge for all credit card payments).
On the evening of Sunday August 12th, 2018 a home owner in the area of Beaudry Avenue near Cote Drive in Vassar, Manitoba arrived home to find three Mountain Bicycles in their front yard. These are one male and two female adult Mountain Bicycles.
If you are missing similar Mountain Bicycle(s) please contact the Sprague RCMP Detachment at (204)437-2041 Ext: 0 at your earliest opportunity and be prepared to give a detailed description in order to claim the Bicycle(s). Anyone wanting to claim one or more Bicycle(s) as theirs, will have to do so on or before September 26th, 2018.
The RM office will be closed from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, August 30th, 2018.
